How Is Delta-8 THC Legal?

If a cannabis plant somehow contained less than the legal limit of .3% Delta-9, it would not be illegal in any way. Delta-8 THC is derived from hemp that contains less than .3% Delta-9, and because the 2018 Farm Bill made hemp cultivation in the United States legal, products containing Delta-8 THC are also considered federally legal.
